Well I sat and watched some of the CMA Awards last night. Suddenly Taylor Swift came on playing a Taylor with a totally rhinestone covered top. My first thought was gag me with a spoon. My second thought was if Rick is watching He is probably rolling on the floor laughing is ... Well you know what off . My third thought was I bet that Taylor has a lot of tonal complexity

By the way she won the Horizon award so I bet Taylor Guitars sells a bunch of that model this year

Do you think that's a Curly redwood top underneath (the guitar that is)

All i know is it gave off a prism effect reflection with the rainbow refractions and all. I to doubt it was individual rhinestones but what ever it was a high percentage of the legally blind in Nashville saw it.

Yep, I saw that too and had the same thoughts.

I really got to get me a pair of those fingerless gloves. Sorta like leg warmers for guitar players.

Michael, I'd bet $500 that that Taylor wasn't in the live mix... ...maybe I need to start marketing my guitars with a cute girl... and Bob must be living right to get in with one named "TAYLOR"! Probably still doesn't cure the hurt that James only plays Olsons!

That poor girl, she'll never make it in the industry with those looks and that talent.

I'm not sure the guitar was supposed to be the center of attention there...might be wrong, but I sort of see Williams' point. She's purty.

She's a GLO. Girl-like-Object.

Hesh, Taylor necks have always leaned toward "thin". Back in the 70's they were even thinner. (Not all people like tree trunks for necks!) I lean toward a thinner neck because I have relatively smallish hands. Weird thing is that I like necks that are around 1-13/16" wide best, which is considered wider than normal.

Bob, I'm guessing that guitar is made with Taylor's "Killer Koa" from their website video. Some great stuff there.

Yeah the zoot is sick (as in current lingo for very cool).

Funny, I recently turned 51 and find myself focused on the zoot in this pic more than anything else......

I'm wondering, since this is flamed, figured, etc. what is the difference in using this top over curly Redwood?

I thought the same thing when I saw that guitar top last night.  All I could think was "I wonder what Rick is doing right about now!"

It must hard to be cute, 17 and starting a musical carrier...I mean geez she has to deal with a multi year recording contract with a major label. Tour 3 months of the ear with the likes of Brad Paisley and most likely is forced to take free guitars from Taylor I guess two of the three aren't that bad
