Hello All. As some of you may know I am having some difficulty
uploading
photos to this forum. Can someone help? I am using an imac running OS
X
10.4.10. I am 100% sure that they are Jpeg's and less than 200kb. I also
tried PGN GIF and BMP. I am pulling the photo's from iphoto. I'll try and
post one here so you can see the code.TommyC/2007-11-05_232854_DCP_0009a.JPG">

Actually, it is not posting the code (although in the past, with the problem
post, it did...?) so i'll type it    2007-11-05_232854_DCP_0009a.JPG">

Have a look at the original post to see the code. "Holding tray for
handheld router binding". Look at the 4th post down. jammy thought to
help but I didn't see what he was talking about. jammy? Anyway, thanks
for any help you can give.

Tommy Safari can do funny things with this forum software.

Have you tried Firefox?

I don't know about any mac issues, but just wanted to note that if you uncheck the box "Enable Forum Codes to format post" it should display the BB code without trying to display the picture.

The "Preview Post" button is also handy to see if it's going to work before you post the message.

Firefox is a good answer.  It's free and it's a good browser.

http://www.luthiersforum.com/forum/.rum/useruploads/%3Cbr%20 /%20border=

I see the above exposed in your post. There is no .jpg listed for display. I also see a space before .rum? Something is jumbling the address. Also when you see %20 that is a placeholder for a space in an address which can cause problems locating pictures for various software. Try resaving your pictures using no spaces in the name.

Here is a proper look to encoding:

http://www.luthiersforum.com/forum/useruploads/BruceDickey/2 007-11-02_020720_IMG_1114_Small.JPG

Notice the spaces are actually underscore keystrokes. The OLF software does that automatically when uploading.

Using my picture address, I've repaired yours above, now to add the IMG tags and it may work?? No guarantees....

I removed also a Quote and greater than sign from the address above. Now, let's see if it works.

Bruce, I thought I had the issue resolved because when I previewed the post and then sent the post I could see my initial jpg.  I can still see it now after several refreshed screens later.  I don't get it.  Was anyone else able to see my initial jpg in this post?  I'll change the name of the file and see if that helps.  Let me know Bruce.

Yes, I see the one above, and I saw the other one after which you posted, Woohoo! Firefox was the answer.  I think you are fine.  I have never looked at the encoding when I post a picture.  I do, however usually use the numerical picture number as a name, and it does not have any spaces, so I don't know if that's an issue.  It could be with some browsers.  I am using Firefox.

You are very welcome Tommy.

I see one very cool looking guitar - what is the story, is this one of yours?  It looks superb and the rosette is killer too!

Hesh it is one of mine.  Made about 2 yrs ago. The rossette is cool but I used BWB lines for it and it kinda gets lost in the mix because of it.  On future attempts the rosette will be solid black lines.   By the way Hesh, it is nice to still see you here!

Tommy, the three above, you're referring to the same picture right, not three pictures?

0009a.jpg is the first two, one you posted, one I figured out and reposted. The third image has a simplified name for jpg with some underscore lines, and that worked.

Post some more and we'll see if you have it down now?
