dont forget his recruit Betty.

i had great conversation with Henry a few minutes ago. This will be a great show and I am very excited about it.

He was worried that many builders are having their invitations blocked by their servers spam blockers. If you`re wondering why you have`nt heard from him, or if the reserve a table fuction is not working that could be one reason.

give him a call, he is a very pleasant and knowledgeable guy and i enjoyed talking him very much.

Matt

[QUOTE=LanceK]Hi Charles,

Brock and I will be showing our guitars there.
I am looking forward to it!

Got my plane tickets today, and our hotel rooms last week!

Lance, Talked to Henry on the phone today...what a nice guy...anyway he said he's working on getting discount rates for luthiers involved with the show ( exhibitors and staff and whatever). So everyone may want to wait to see what kind of prices he comes up with. Most Three star hotels were from $195-$235 per night from my search...that's a little high.

I 've gotten all the necessary approvals to attend, so I signed up.
The Nash looks nice and is in a great location, so we're there too.
Any of your better halves along for the ride?

Is this a "by invitation only" affair? If so, I havent got an invite, so I guess I wont be showing anything.  I may go down there anyway, just to meet some of you guys face to face. Would be a fun trip indeed!

Ken, Henry keeps saying that if you didn't get an invitation, contact him and don't be shy about it. Apparently he had email problems. He also appears to wish to extend the invitation to all luthiers.

I just sent him an e-mail requesting that my name be added to the list of luthiers, so maybe he will send an invite also.

Thanks for the tip. I got permission from my accountant to go down, so maybe I can demo a couple of guitars also.

Actually it isn't too bad. That is during spring break and some of those hotels in that area are going for as much as $700 a night.

I thought that looked like a pretty decent place that didn't break the bank.

... I guess it is all relative though. I am sure Ohio beach front hotels are much cheaper. But they don't get much of a spring break crowd. :-)

Well, my wife couldn't pass up the idea of a few days on the beach so she will be meeting me for sat-mon. Have not decided on a hotel yet but will check out the Nash...

Don't forget, guys...don't shave for four days before, push the sleeves of your white silk or linen sports jackets up to your elbows, and don't buy any cocaine from people you don't know.   And avoid anyone named Escobar or Noriega...

Oh, and no jokes about Uncle Fidel, either...

Just remember that Fulgencio Battista was a hero and a savior of the Cuban people...and a good pal of Meyer Lansky's...

I finally heard back from Harry this morning, and got confirmed for a 4' table for the show.  This will be my first show and I'm excited about it.  Now to have a banner made and hats embroidered, and, and, and, and....
