Kevin, I'm sure you're a few steps ahead of my thinking, but I can imagine
asking his establishment to show a proof of transfer?

Hey Kevin.

sorry to hear things are flaking out on this.

I have been around long enough to sort of "feel" when a client is going squirelly on you... and this definitely feels like one of those times.

My guess is that this guy either doesn't have the cash, bought something else with the cash, or has changed his mind... but doesn't want to fess up and tell you.

Since you could easily sell the guitar, what I would do is call the guy explain to him that while you will be disappointed if something has come up, you will understand -- "these things happen." Regardless of how you feel about it, I think if you give him a way to save face and he knows you won't blow a gasket if he can't complete the deal you will be more likely to receive the straight story.

I too have done my fair share of sending and receiving wires .. and I have never had that much of a problem. Usually the bank will also confirm payment to a client if you ask them to.

Something is up.

Again.. if you can let him off the hook and get this sold to someone else for more everybody will be better off.

It's all fine for him to receive the guitar now. My bank finally confirmed
that wire transfer was directed toward my account, but that they probably
won't credit my accint with it until late Monday afternoon.

With technology being what is and having the capabilities that it does.
there is no excuse or reason for a financial establishment to take so long
to even acknowledge money movement.

The only reason I can think of is that they can ue it for the 48 or 72
hours that they hold in between banks. Can you imagine how much they
can make on the many millions of dollars that come through these
channels in this way every year?

I'll be shipping the guitar to the original customer on Monday so all will
end up as planned.

Thanks,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars

Great news Kevin, you guys don't need to eat macaroni with butter tonight    Get out the roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy and a nice loaf of bread.

Rod,
Believe me, we'll still be eating light. The balance that I'm receiveing on this
guitar is not much and the huge majority of it will go to supplies to be able
to get a few more done and delivered.

It'll be a little while before we can break free of our penny pinching
mentality, but it's on its way.

Thanks,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars
