See later posts for info on more vacuum pumps.

This mahogany rim came from the Guitarmakers Connection (Martin's outlet). It's a 00 size 2 7/8" at the big end and 2" at the neck.

Nothing special, but it would make a neat little thin line guitar.

As before I'd like to trade for other wood, but I'll consider anything.

Let me know what you have and if it looks good I'll cover my shipping and you cover yours.

Thanks
Jim Hall

Hey Jim.

I woudl be willing to trade or buy 1 - 2 of these.

I have a really nice set of Lacewood,
2 Sets of very nice black Limba
A set of Bois D' Rose (a rosewood from Madagascar -- but not Dalbergia Baroni)

I would trade any of these...

or if you want a set of Malaysian Blackwood I would trade one very nice set of that (I have several to choose from) for 2 pumps.

LMK what you think..

or I would happily just buy them.

Jim, I'd like one of the pumps

I could trade a 25' sanding dish plus a AAA lutz spruce top.

I have other woods too but you said you wanted a sanding dish so I'm sticking with that first offer, let me know if we can make a deal please.

Jim, I'm going to back out of my offer. I made a deal on another pump.

I'm sure someone else will pic it up.

I can saw up BS sets in padouk and black limba, or I can make you an acrylic radius dish. Also, you can just check out my site if there's anything on there you might prefer instead.

Hey...

Can you either repost or mail me a picture of those vac pumps again? I want to see how you had them hooked up. I think I have this right, but I want to double check.

:-)

Thanks again. I hope you are enjoying the MBW.

:-)

The wood is rite purrrrdddy!

As you could see, I had to do a little disassembly to fit 2 pumps in one flat rate box.

I found a couple more pumps of the vacuum pumps, if anyone else is interested.

Industrial quality, vane type from an OSHA air monitoring system.

Trade for wood or other lutherie stuff.

Jim, if you don't work a trade with Brock, I'd be interested in one of the pumps. Could you post the price, what it will pull, etc.

Thanks.

Bill

Ooops, I apologize...looks like you're only wanting to trade. Understood - I should have read the entire thread.
