Todd,

I am not certain, all I can say is that it is native to India, at least taht is where it harvested and processed.

If you really want I can try and find out for you.

Thanks

James, all sales transactions should be on the thread.  Details, sizes, shipping, emails, etc can be in PM's.

Hey James (and others), I will PM you in the next couple of days with shipping estimates. I will need your address to do this so please PM that to me. If you have bought a back and side set then I am waiting for the boxes that I ordered to arrive to ship the sets as this is the best packaging option.

I have been up since 02:30 am on a call out for the day job (it is 10:48 pm now) so I won't be doing much until tomorrow.

Also, I will be putting more pics up of more goodies in the next day or two.

Thanks

Shane

What's it like? Hard, heavy, stiff, ringing tap tone... or softish, thuddy... ?

Hey Todd,

I just fondled a piece for you. It is medium on the heavy side, a bit lighter than EIR, it is very stiff and has a moderate pitched tap tone. I am actually looking forward to trying out a set in the future.

Shane

All of these sets are from my growing personal stash. I hold back a few sets from each tree I process for my own use. I held back a lot of sets from this tree and even after these sets I still have enough from this tree to keep me busy for many years! Some other sets were cut on spec and I have never advertised, they are larger sizes. All of these sets have been sawn at least three (3) years ago and stored in a dry heated area,so are well aged and ready to go!

First up:

4 sets that measure 9 x 32 weisses or something else large. $65 per set.

Next are a series of sets that will look like this set below:

These sets are all from the same tree, they have some colour and all sets have a small amount of curl in them. These tops are all sawn from split billets that split absolutely straight. These sets will have no runout and are from my own personal stash so are very well quartered and stiff. They are indeed unique and a LOT of guitars have been made from these sets with very positive feedback.

I have:

14 sets that are 8.5 x 22 - $42 each - SOLD
1 set 9 x 23 - $47 - SOLD
12 sets that are sawn a bit thin, they are smooth sawn with a thin edge at .135, they are 8.5 x 22 - $40 - SOLD

Next:

I have 6 sets that are LARGE 10.5 x 24 - $50
I also have 30 pieces that I cut for one piece cuatro sets, they are 12.25 x 24 - $20 each piece

All of the above sets have a grain count of about 40 on the tight and 20 on the loose edge and maybe down to 12 on the very wide sets.

I also have two sets that are a bit wider grained and quite nice:

They are about 20 grains per inch and are $35 each. - SOLD

Thanks

Shane

shane - I will take a set of the gold open back tuners with the black plastic buttons, and the two Lutz tops you just listed (8.5 x 21). You can ship these with the EIR set I bought earlier. Please PM me with the total with shipping when you have a chance.

Shane,

I'd like the following -

4 of your double action truss rods - 2 12 fret and 2 fourteen fret.

The two wider grained Lutz tops at $35 each.

2 Indian Mahogany practice sets at $20 each

Do you have any slot head tuners?

Thanks,

Greg Heather

Paul,

I should have said this, the open back tuners i have right now are for slot heads. If that is what you were after then GREAT, if not I can bring you in a set for a flat head stock for the same price.

Sorry 'bout that!

Thanks

Shane
