This Bubinga is WILD!! LMI has hi figure sets for over $400. These are more than 25% cheaper. The quilt coupled with the colour will make these sets truly show stopping guitars. My supplier has informed me that they are not likely to get more with this figure again! It was not cheap but I think the results were worth the investment. I have over 70 sets of varying degrees of figure from the same board. These 9 are best with sap wood in them.



















Set #9 is the same set as the example posted in the beginning of thread. I wiped on low odor thinner to bring out the figure although it will darken the wood darker than most guitar finishes will.

Thanks for the help Shane. I want to buy the two disks from you. Does the
kraft paper method work for more delicate woods like cedar? No dents??? If
that method works for cedar as well, would you be willing to add two 80-grit
pressure adhesive disks to my order for 30 dollars more?

Hey Peter, the method works fine for cedar as well. If you are concerned then just double up the paper between the wood and the sandpaper. Some actually like just woking on the sandpaper as it can stop the top from shifting, I just worry about spilling glue on my sandpaper so that is the only reason I put the barrier in.

On the paper, I don't really make much on it so I can't go to $30 (you're already killin' me ) but I can meet you in the middle at $35 for the two sheets with the two disks.

Rod Glenn and Mike just picked up all of the $60 EIR sets. One each for Rod and Glenn and Mike you get the other 7, I know that you already enogh tops for all of them (and then some. !)

James, that Silver Oak is yours. Do you see the darker spot at the waist area of the left hand piece? I like the looks of the wood also and will probably bring more ina few months.

I'll take a Laurel set too...the one in the pic is nice, but any clean set is fine (no small knots or spots, nice grain, etc).  How much $ to have it thickness sanded?
