I'm interested in a high quality bird's eye maple B/S set... I'm gonna be very picky. Fair warning.

I'm always interested in orphaned sides.

I'm a rookie builder who appeciates all of the information everyone has shared on this forum.  I "need" a few things:

Truss rods - Martin-style and LMI/Stew-Mac double-acting

Ebony fingerboard blanks

Cocobolo bridge blanks

Thanks.

Paul

Couple of Euro tops, German or Italian for sure.
Keeping my eye peeled for something I can't live without.

  • scrap wood pieces (t/b/s that I can practice finishing, and anything long enough for me to practice bending)

  • dremel miniature straight bits (like those little dental cutter bits)

  • unslotted bridge pins

  • anything BRW

  • jigs (bending, slotting, etc)

  • books/old magazines

Ooh, Bob Long hit a good one: a riser block! Why didn't I think of that?

1.) Riser Block for Ridgid/Jet/Grizzly 14" bandsaw. (they are supposedly interchangable - other than paint color)

2.) "Scraps" Highly figured, well-quartersawn pieces of wood that are too narrow for backs, or fingerboards with defects. Maybe back sets with cracks or other defects that make them unsuitable as backs. Maybe fingerboards with defects or just too narrow to work. I'm thinking that everyone who resaws must have some of this in their "scrap" pile.

Thanks!

-Dennis

In addition to guitars I also dabble in puzzle boxes for the grandkids and relatives. I'm always looking for nice block scraps of figured woods at least 2 x 3 x 6. For those of you that resaw 8/4 stock or do in fact have some block pieces laying around in the cast off box... please let me know.

Regards,

Peter

That's a different Dennis Leahy. I know there's one that's a kooky mathematician, and another one that does not pay his parking tickets in Southern California (I got arrested because of that one!)

Hesh, I'll sell pictures of myself in my Swap Meet sellers thread. Do you want it autographed?

Dennis

Looking for some Honduras Rosewood, not the good stuff or should I say the expensive stuff. Maybe some with fixable worm holes that a working guy can afford.

Thanks

Fretting template from LMI: 30" and 34" bass scales. Looking for the newer, Lexan, template.

I am looking for a Binding jig for my PC310.  Also looking for chisels, low grade spruce for practice, and a good block plane

This is a long shot, but perhaps worth a try.
I was fondly remembering a plank bought years
ago, some beautiful and purple EIR.
It is long gone, alas.
But if someone has a 32"+ long plank, perhaps
too narrow for sides, too pretty for fretboards,
I would be quite interested.
My plan is to use it for binding strips.
The plantation grown stuff on the market now just
leaves one sad....
Anyone got some old growth purple EIR???

Steve

I know it's getting late, but a Stew-Mac intonator would come in handy.

Hi Tim, this request is for you, because I'll bet you are the only person here that has this item:

Shagbark Hickory Back & Side Set

Got one extra in your stash?

Dennis
