I'm a Romo/TO fan... which pretty much means I'm a Cowboys fan. I tell you what, Romo was playing for the Bills. If it weren't for the Bill defense, which played very well, it would have been a blowout. I was jumping up and down until the last second. That's the kind of suspense a monday night game should have.

Romo had no right to be celebrating that win, having thrown 5 interceptions. Hmph is right Don

I have been a dye hard Cowboy fan since the days of Meredith. Renfro, Hayes, Lilly, and Harris. the first game I can remember watching as a youngster was the infamous Green Bay/Dallas Ice Bowl let see that was 1960 if I remember right


All kidding aside the NFL broke their own rule for the second time this season. The replay booth is under the same rules as coaches when it comes to reviews. If they don't get the message to the ref in time to stop the next play they are not to rule on a call made on the field. Twice this year, once on a Denver game and this last nights game they did not get the word down to the refs in time to stop the next play but they still ruled on the previous play. It really did not change the out come of either game but sooner or later it will. They need to fix their communication with the refs or stick to their rules and say Oh well.

We have had our share of bad bets too

thinking about the 59 min. leading up to the end of the game, I would be the first to say The Bills defence deserved to win that game. And that Romo played pretty darn bad

But then again.....If I remember right The Bills offence scored ...What was it??????...Oh yea 3 ponints. The Cowboys offence scored 25 points

But all that maters is the final score. every thing else is things that happened along the way.

I take no offence to what happens in a football game. As a fan I have been on the other end too many times.

I thought the Rookie QB for the Bills did pretty well. He did play a little too conservatively with his checkdown passes, but eating away 5-8 yards at time eventually adds up. The Bills just didn't really have any big offensive plays. Michael is right, they rode the defensive coat tails all night.

He did play well. I think the fact that they never got a running game going was what kept Dallas alive.

My personal thoughts is that many teams waist too many downs trying to make big plays. Two 5 to 7 yards plays gets ten yards or more every time. In the old days of the NFL there were many more long sustained drives and a 15 to 20 yard play was a big play. Now days teams tend to go for a 30 yard or longer play almost once a series of downs. Great for the fans I guess but the old "3 yards in a cloud of dust" days produced some really classic games and a bunch of Hall of Fame players.

Michael, this coming weekend should be a great game. I expect the Cowboys and the Pats to give each other a realy good game. It's a toss-up who will win this one. Brady vs Romo, Moss vs TO. Dang, don't miss that one!

I pretty much love any team that plays the Cowboys. They're a good team this year - and in general I'd rather not see them play then see them win. So I walked down to my regular Monday night football watering hole expecting to not really enjoy the game too much.

But I tell ya... watching Romo throw those five interceptions was nearly as great an experience in watching football as watching him single-handedly blow the Cowboys entire post season last year performing a task one could train monkey to do.

How about that 57 yard FG with 1 sec on the clock to beat a winless Miami???  OK, maybe not as impressive as some other teams.  But, not bad either.

And the Sooners beat Texas!!! WoHoo!!!

well it sure was an entertaining came. The NFL had to love it.
I was disspointed sfter leading the whole game but also happy the Bills weren't embarresed. They have had the same problem all season. NO OFFENSE

I was going by a local place for a tri-tip sandwhich after class Monday
night and walked in right as the two-point conversion failed. I was
hoping the game would be on, walked in to an erruption of cheers. After
the onside kick, silence was like a sacrament. I haven't been in a football
environment that good since the Fresno State/USC game two years back.
It was fantastic.

Wow.. I guess I just look at sports differently. Deriving pleasure because a specif player having a bad day? I may want my team to wiln and am glad when they do but really ..........never mind

I'm with you Michael...I'm a fan of the game more than anything. I like to see great football being played, orbaseball, etc. When a matchup like the one this Sunday happens, it's something to not be missed.
People can't understand how I can like both the Yankees AND the Red Sox, but I do. I'm a fan of the game, the rivalry, and the great players associated with their respective franchises. What's better than greatness vs greatness? Nobody likes mediocrity, it gets boring. I like to see a great game first, and if my favorite team wins, great! If not, I'll sulk a bit perhaps, but it's not what's really important in life.

Besides, most professional athletes make more money in one year than I'll make in 3 or 4 lifetimes. I'm not going to get too bent out of shape over their wins and losses playing a game...

When someone of Romo's skill has a bad day you're going to have to expect delight from the competition, it comes with the territory, particularly in such a psysical and competitive sport.

Its not as though I was taking delight in someone's injury, so pretending to take a higher road of being a more dignified football fan is just silly. Rivalries are a part of the game, they require a thick skin and shouldn't be taken too personally. Afterall, your team won - right?

Trust me I expect a bit salt to be rubbed in any wound as friendly egging. That is what I did to Don with this post in the first place. Yes I take delight in my favorite teams opponent's loosing a game. That is part of spectator sports. But no I take no delight in any shot comings or miss fortune of a specific player on any team.

I guess I played too much team sports to even think that way. Yes he played horrible, no a Monkey could not have done what he did. Good or bad. I know you meant it as a figure of speech. And I shall take it that way.

It was the demeanor of the statement really caught me off guard. But that is ok I have no hard feelings about it. All is well.
