Are folks aware
that Michael Gurian and two of the luthiers he trained, Michael Millard
(Froggy Bottom Guitars) and Thomas Humphrey (best known for his
classical guitars) are going to be featured on a "Luthiers Cruise" from
August 29 to September 5, 2008? This should be a fantastic opportunity
to pick some great guitar-building brains. On top of that, this is a
week-long, reasonably-priced premium cruise going round trip from
Seattle, with three stops in Alaska. There's more info at
www.WanderHappy.com (click on Luthiers Cruise) and a new site, still
under construction, LuthiersCruise.com. For a modest downpayment, you
can hold a cabin and not pay the balance until June.

A public service announcement, sort of. But then even Mandolin Bros has a link to this event!

David (a real fan of these three builders) (and yes, I'm going)
