Back in June Filippo Morelli asked about the guitar Troji made by Mark Kett who adapted Sergei de Jonge's who adapted Jean Larrivee's original design and we had this discussion on it.

Well, John Abercrombie (like all good Canadians ) gave us some basic dimensions for the guitar troji. Thanks John. And further in the discussion Mark Kett mentioned he was working on a detailed construction article for the troji. I know there are some pictures up on the sound salon website.

Well, I've made one based on John's rough dimensions, pictures off the net both here and at soundsalon and I have also made up a set of plans and a document detailing my construction.

And this link here's a link[/URL] to the document you can all download and print. Just right click on the link and 'save as' to your hard drive, or just click the link (should open in a new window) and save the pdf or print it. I am going to send this to Mark Kett also, maybe he can use some of it for his article, maybe not.

All the pages are 8-1/2" x 11" so anyone with a printer can print them off and use them.

Let me know if I've missed something, and please someone build one of these things. I did and can't wait to use it.

Hey thanks ya'll. I can't wait till I actually get to use it. Very soon I need to cut the neck mortise on that there maple/cedar guitar. Than it will be used for cutting the tail graft on the next guitar.

Sam,

I suspect that by building one of these you'll probably need a smaller space to work in It looks a very neat and elegant way to do the scraping/sanding and hold the body when doing routing on the neck and tail block areas, and also when cutting side soundports etc.

Nice one again Rodney (as Del Boy would say . . . probably too British a reference )
