Hey all,

Question for ya,

I'm going to refinish a classical with indian rosewood sides/back.  Should I use grain filler after I've sanded off the old finish or will the original grain filler still remain?  Also, any recomendations as to grain filler?

Thanks a million

Stefan

I don't know, Stefan, but I can give you a bump back to the top. That's really what my function is around here.

I dont know the answer either, but from experience I think I would feel better if I at least ran a good coat of zpoxy over the guitar before I sprayed any nitro on it. It only takes a few minutes and will show any defects that need to be touched up. It is amazing how many dents, dings, visible sanding strokes, etc, etc that I find when I put a coat of zopxy on for the first time.

It can do no harm and can save you a lot of possible grief also.

Stefan-
Interesting project-
What kind of finish is on the guitar now, and what are you going to use when you refinish?
Why are you sanding off the old finish? Any pics?
This kind of info will probably help the experts (not me) give you more specific advice.

Cheers
John
