Amstel Light, anyone see this?
Who is the Luthier at the beginning sanding a body?
Probably an actor, but it was cool anyway

I've never heard of Armstel, is that a Michigan product?

Cool. Do you build all your guitars in the dark, Lance?

I've seen the 'electric guitar-mahogany LP clone' version of this ad, but I thought it was one of the 'biggies' (Busch, Labatts?) for that one.

I believe Amstel is a European brand- it was made under license in Canada as well in the 70s?80s? and I think it's now owned by one of the big beer conglomerates.

Cool, anyway...

John

Amstel is Dutch. They advertise here in California all the time.

The ad I was thinking of featured a Basone guitar
http://www.basoneguitars.com
and Budweiser beer. The band in the ad is the Manvils.
It was a Superbowl ad aired in Canada.

YouTube search will turn up a copy of that vid, if you're interested.

Amstel is owned by Heinekin.

(You can tell I've got a job in the shop (sanding) that I don't want to do right now!

John
