Don't know who you are asking Pat but I used one caul upper bout, one that is part of the bender at the waist and two on the lower bout. Worked great.

Oh I see, I was thinking cauls like on the waist/cut with a press crew. Yeah, that's a good idea to add a third spring caul.

I have been planning to build a bender that has the springs pulling on the slats. Mostly to support the wood during the bend, but I suppose it would also help with warping.
