Just thought I'd do a little project for a diversion from guitar building. It's made of cherry with maple and walnut. I used Walrus Oil for a quick and easy finish. I'm pleased with the finish. After all, it is just a stand... Nice little weekend project.

Pretty. With two Australian Shepherds running around the house I don't dare use a floor stand - all mine hang on the wall ;)

Great job, Steve. I keep wanting to do one of these. Good inspiration.

Beautiful, Steve! I'm envious, but I'm with Steve Smith regarding the realities of dog ownership. My guitars hang on the wall.

Great looking stand. It looks like the body hangs clear of the stand so there's no contact. Is that right?

That's right Jay. The body hangs clear of the stand, so it knida floats in the air. I understand that if you have dogs or young children this is not for you. I do have a cat that gets into mischief sometimes. It just seemed like a fun woodworking project to do.

I have a friend whose cat knocked his guitar off a floor mounted stand and snapped the peghead off! My floor mounted stands are the Hercules with the automatic gripper things at the peghead end. My cats weren't able to knock these down (don't know if they tried though....)

Beautiful stand though. Matches up with the quality of the guitar nicely.
