 Post subject: New Build - Cherry 00

I just strung up this cherry 00. I thought I'd try something different and I stained the neck black. It's an interesting contrast to the cherry body. Otherwise, it's pretty simple and clean. It sounds nice already.

Yes Pat. It's a L-00. I guess I should just say so. I just thought that would make it sound to much like Gibson. It is my build, not thiers...

Hey Brad. The neck was sprayed with black transtint in EM-6000 (50 drops per oz.). I masked off the headplate and the heel cap...

I was just wondering if that's what it was based on. I love that shape. I've built a few with that shape. I had a 30s Gibson L-00 a while back; mine aren't at all like the Gibsons, except for that shape. It's a classic.

Great looking guitar. I really like cherry for smaller bodied guitars.
