I'd be interested in all of the Lie Nielsen planes.

Hello OLF Friends,
I would just like to express a huge thanks to you all for the supportive messages and for your enthusiastic and generous purchases from Ernie's estate. It is such a pleasure to meet you via the internet, text and phone and now I understand Ernie's attachment to this great group of guys with a common passion in life!
There is still more in the way of tools, luthier materials and wood available.
I am going on vacation for about 10 days, returning around the 20th of June. Some of you are waiting for your stuff and I will get to it as soon as I return.
I will also post an updated list of items available.
I am still not approved to use Classifieds, however I am on Tapatalk. I have been sending photos via email and also text when I have your phone number.
As far as shipping is concerned, one of you suggested pirateship.com which has proved to be more economical than other services, so thank you for that!

My very best regards,

Cathy Kleinman

I finally had a break from work to look through the boxes that Cathy sent me (which arrived a few days ago). I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the rosettes and veneers I bought from her. Thanks so much, Cathy!

Bump for the weekenders.
Guys - maybe 20 percent of Ernies stuff is gone. MAYBE 20.
Read this thread from top to bottom and see if you missed anything.
Ask questions even if it wasn't mentioned.
Cathy keeps finding more and more...

Pretty soon Cathy will have to contact lutherie schools and resellers, and then the good stuff will be GONE.

Sadly most of the stuff that would be worth paying to ship to AU would also run into cites dramas at the border. This is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity folks - don’t let the snot-nosed kids at Roberto Venn get all the good stuff :D :D

May as well just go ahead and list them here right? With all the problems people have been having getting into the classifieds.

Just drove down and back today, bringing home more goodies for Fumblefinger (Al Bacon), and so on. Cathy has been busy taking care of OLF'rs, and she loves it. However, there is STILL a major portion of Ernie's hoard up for grabs. I'm telling you guys it's like candyland for luthiers and wood workers. She's letting it all go for reasonable prices, too. Honest, it's worth driving a day or two in a U-Haul if you really want to cash in.

We sorted tops & backs today, went through a bunch more stuff. The more Cathy sells, the more she finds squirreled away. Ernie knew how to utilize space. Too bad he didn't leave detailed notes... It's a scavenger hunt, every day.

If any of you are ukulele builders - Ernie was your man. We haven't even tried to go through his uke sets yet - the volume is overwhelming.

His 3 go-bar decks are still there waiting to be desired. Side bender (with mats) still waiting for a new owner. Motorized dish sander w/ multiple dishes and sanding discs still available. Ernie built it himself. Go through all the photo links again, guys. The treasures beckon....

Guys - if you build ukes, mandolins, bouzoukis, or other small bodied acoustic instruments - contact Cathy. NO ONE has bought any of this stuff, or even asked about it yet. We are talking tops, sides, backs, bridges, necks - you name it. And she wants it gone.

If you want photos, ask and Cathy will provide. What are you afraid of?

This week I got a bunch of boxes from Cathy and the wood is exactly what I hoped for/expected- great stuff that I am very happy to have in my shop :). Cathy is wonderful and so easy to deal with. I'll likely be buying more!

Guys? There is plenty of stuff left. Do you want it, or should Cathy begin letting non-OLF people snatch up the goodies? She's not asking a lot of money - she just wants Ernie's stuff to be used and loved like he used and loved it.

A few weeks ago, Cathy sold me a lot of veneers and rosettes at a great bargain price. This week, she sold me three high quality Indian Rosewood back/side sets for a price that was, again, a great bargain. She told me there was someone else who had dibs on the rest of Ernie’s Indian Rosewood sets, but I asked her to let me have them if that other person won’t follow through. Cathy is easy to contact, is happy to provide photos, charges actual cost for shipping, and ships promptly. The prices are way lower than you would find from a regular vendor. Buying as much as you can from Cathy right now is a win-win for you and her. There is the motivating factor of helping the widow of a fellow OLF-er, but there is also the motivating factor of buying high quality wood and tools from a reliable source at prices that are far below market. Seizing the day is the smart move, IMHO. And whoever is on the fence about the rest of Ernie’s Indian Rosewood: please cut bait so I can buy it!

Made another trip to Oklahoma on Friday with OLF'r Jordan Bollig. We nearly filled up the van with tools, wood, and shop supplies. He thinks he might want more the next time. So I figure we will head down there next month.

At this point, over 40% of Ernie's stuff has been dispersed. Cathy is letting it all go at fire sale prices, guys. Because the OLF traffic has tapered off - she will begin calling the luthier schools to equip the incoming students with tools and woods.

Look at the photos in this thread AGAIN. Cathy says "Come and get it!".

And soon - back to Oklahoma for me. More to sort, more to bring back for others.
Josh - soon, brother.

Thanks for the reminder, Chris. I reached out to Cathy about it. If you’re down there pricing things and can help her that would be awesome. I’d take any / all pearl, abalone, inlay material, etc…
