Here are some updates pics on this build.
As a note, I had to carve another neck because ... well let’s just say I messed up.
Overall this instrument has been a HUGE learning experience and while it isn’t a very “good” guitar, I expect it will sound rather nice because of some kinks I’ve worked out.
My biggest issue is still getting that neck joint perfect w the body.... that said I’m sure with some research and more work it will come.

If you post a few close up pics of the heel I bet some folks here (maybe even me! :)) could give some guidance on flossing.

Some things to think about:
1) Most important, IMO - Is there relief being cut into the cheeks so only a thin edge is sitting on the body? This will make flossing go much faster.
2) Is the top of the body totally flat? Sometimes when cleaning up binding the front edge of the binding on the soundboard side of the guitar can get rounded off. It can be tough to floss this in.
3) Are you using stickit to floss or cutting strips of sandpaper and sliding them through? If the strips, slide them out away from the neck. Hesh's tutorial on flossing talks about this IIRC.

I'm sure others with more experience will have better ideas. :D

Just an aesthetic to my eye, but you probably can refine that heal a little more. Probably take a little more meat out of the corner.

Nice looking guitar, SMS! I agree with Pat's thoughts about the heel needing a touch more refinement.
It would have a more streamlined look, and be a bit more hand-friendly.

I would take about 1/2" of depth out of the curve of the heel, at a minimum.

Looks like good progress. I like the curved fretboard end and the asymmetric fret marker locations.

I wonder how many luthier shops have a white board. It's a good idea for those who are inclined to use them. It's not an option for me even if I would use one. No free wall space.

If you’re like me and are constantly taking pictures of your whiteboard with a phone, get the Office Lens app. It will fix the skew of the image of the whiteboard and turn it into an editable document.

Here is an example, I took a pic of the Gore Gilet book at a steep angle. The second pic is from the app “fixing” the image into a document.

How about a few finished pictures with strings on. Looks really nice.
