I have a 1996 LMI loose leaf catalog for free. This is the one that almost reads like a lutherie textbook. Also, 3 nice Fender-style, flat sawn hard maple neck blanks also free. Pickup in St Louis or you pay postage.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

I'm up in the Great White North. Would it work for me to send you 10 bucks for shipping for the LMI catalog? If so, I'll take it

Steve, An international shipment is a bit more of a project than I'm hoping for. I'd prefer to keep it simple, but let's see what develops.

I'm local and would take the neck blanks off your hands but it would be a good long while before I would have use for them. If someone wants/needs them more than I, I would happily defer to them. If you don't get any takers and want to get them out of the shop, I'll come pick them up (especially if I got to peek at your workshop :) ).

If the LMI catalog is still available I would like it. If so, pm me with payment preference. Thanks.
