A while back from the classifieds here I bought a grab bag box of 10 ukulele sets (tenors, concerts and soprano). The is a the first ukulele I am building out of that set. It is for a friend who picked out the wood from sets awhile back. It is a 14 fret to the body tenor. To get a body shape I duplicated the non harp side of my Peter Howlett harp ukulele mold. The last few days I have slowly been padding on Royal Lac. The back and sides were pore filled with CA and sealed with seal lac. The top was just sealed with a few coats of seal lac.

The scale is 17" 14 fret to the body. The wood is quilted mahogany.

I think the right word for that wood and finish work is "Stunning". Wow.

Thanks for the kind comments. Grab bag probably was not fair description. It was a box of mixed wood spices and sized ukulele sets that were only sold as a lot. All of the sets including this one were top notch. I excited to keep going through the stash.
