Looks like I'm going to build a 12 string. back and sides Macassar ebony, adirondack spruce top, rosette in Macassar and the headstock plate. ebony finger board. maybe a wenge neck (still undecided) on the neck. ill post some wood pics as soon as i figure out the sizing issue I'm having .

Man...I love the look of Maccassar Ebony. I only have some small pieces on hand. Can hardly wait to see your masterpiece take shape!

Ok sorry for being a bit slow, I won't make any excuses just start fresh.
Next Sunday I'm gonna fire up the mill and look inside some very old sinker fur.
I'm also looking at nutmeg. Bay laurel for the neck, every thing but the nut meg will be milled off the farm.
Sorry for not realizing this was a local woods challenge ,but feel a bit more up to speed.

Here's the back and sides. It very old fur pulled out of a peat bog about 12 years ago. In the bog for 100 s of years ? Hard to know. Milled quarter sawn and stacked a shop 10 years ago. I put it through the resaw today. I'm thinking a o42.
