I'm looking for some free profile drawings for a LP carved top. I have the 50's profile, but I prefer the less pronounced later profile.
Anyone?
Thanks,
Dan

The difference between 50's carve and the 70's carve is the presence or lack of recurve at the edge. I have this graphic of a comparison, don't know where I got it but the differences are greatly exaggerated on it. The carve is basically the same on both , just the later ones do not have the recurve carved in around the edge. The only real reason for the change was to save labor.

Dan are you still looking for a Les Paul top cross section? These may be of some help is you haven't seen them already.

Dan, there are a number of build threads on mylespaul.com that are worth checking out. (A google search will take you there or use the search engine on the site). I love Les Paul's, I look forward to seeing progress pictures.
