I was impressed enough with the improvements to VisualMill 2012 that I took the release of 2014 more seriously than I normally would.

This is looking pretty good. HSM tool paths, improved spiral pocketing (which in now useful for non-circular shapes) and triangular bridges are what really catch my attention.

I've been eyeballing it as well though I shudder to think what the upgrade price will be. It seems that they've addressed a number of issues that have been brought up in the forums. I run VM for SolidWorks and I hope that they include some of the stuff that's been brought up in there as well - namely being able to use it in assemblies.

I watched the webinar yesterday. They mentioned that the upgrades will be introduced into the SW version soon. I don't know what assemblies are but the Standard version upgrade cost is not too bad.
