Well - a busy week saw the completion of this project - after fair amount of time.... with one dumb-ass mistake, which means another week or so before delivery - notice the hole without the active tone pot? - well pot simply broke when jently pressing on the control knob...with metel rotating thing pushing through and jiggering it... so now have to wait for EMG replacement VLPF pot ($39!!!!) to be shipped out before I can complete and hand over - Only 2nd instrument completed, after 1 acoustic and 0.5 tenor acoustic, so 1st electric build and am quite pleased with how its turned out - customer (my friend) v happy as well.

Finbal details, finish is a melamine 2 part solvent based lacquer - so had to use a local friends spray booth, but v easy to apply - no grain filling required, just a couplpe of mist coats to start, then 6-7 'filler coats, with a flat sand after 3 and after 6 and 7, then 2 final top coats before 1500 grit cut back and then polish... comes up a treat.

Have the sister set of that Cocobolo so second one is already being planned!
