I follow somthing similar to Sylvan. I hate the sanding jigs on the top. This is the area that will carry alot of the load of the neck torqing.
Like sylvan I radius my sides, then ad the kerfing and radius again. What I do differnetly than Sylvan is I have a 1degree block that I sand the side sets to from the upper part of the sound hole to the neck. With a 28 foot radius on the top. the 1 degree actually just about flattens this area and lets the dome below. This way I don't have to worry about taking the top down . I like to thin my tops and know the final thickness.
