flippo, im probably just showing my ignorance on this one, but how do you do your intonation on a wooden bridge like that? ive been spoiled with saddles that move lol. i was just curious i may want to try that sometime.

Please educate me; How do you do the earthing to these wooden bridge electrics? :?:

I mean tremolo bridges have the earth wire to the claw and tunomatic bridges are wired to the treble side post of the bridge tail. This ensures that we make ground when we touch the strings, but how is this posible if the bridge is made of wood? I´d really apreciate it if you let me know!

Speaking of electronics; in my opinion such a well made guitar deserves a set of hand wound pickups. Lindy Fralin, Scatterbrain?

Thanx for the info, I was wondering if she wasn´t grounded to a metal tail piece.

I read an an article from Adrian Legg that says "wire together, in parallel, a 220k ohm resistor and a .001 capacitor with a minimum voltage rating of 500 volts". He claims that this item can replace grounding alltogether, but I´ve never seen it installed.

I have never encountered a wooden bridge electric, so I would really apreciate it if you take a nice pic of the grounding plate when you get to the electronics.

Just don´t put in EMG´s (yuk!) since they don´t require grounding, ha!

man that rosewood is gorgeous! this thread is like crack, i need more! i really love the p-90 covers done from rosewood, i was just thinking about trying to do that the other day but i guess you beat me to it. did you have much trouble gluing those together? seems like they'd be pretty finicky

Ouch, I only noticed after you pointed out that there was something wrong in the first place. Then I did what I imagine you did, only to a much lesser extent. [headinwall] Otherwise I was flipping through the pictures, drooling as usual with this thread. Sounds like the client is pretty understanding though.

Look at it this way, of aaaaaallllllll the SERIOUS mistakes you could have made because of the lefty factor, this is probably the least serious, and also pretty easily fixable. Ziricote dust, epoxy, and careful application will make that just about vanish, especially since it's on the bottom side of the neck and won't be looked at much.
