I have a P-09 pommelle bubinga that I play all the time with the low E dropped to D.  I don’t play full drop D.  I’m always surprised how good it sounds dropping to D.  It’s much fuller that I expect for a parlor and not much of an issue with intonation or rattle/buzzing.  I like the short scale, and I’m 6’5”.  Now if I pick it up after playing on of my large bodied guitars or course it sounds thin.  I also have an L-09 Koa and D-09 BRW w/ traditional neck from Larrivee.  I find myself playing the P-09 the majority of the time followed by the L-09.  The D-09 BRW is a distant third, even though it cost more than the others combined.  Kind of makes me regret getting it in lieu of something else such as a 000-60, but its still a nice instrument.
