sad news: I just found out that I'm losing the eyesight in my right eye.

It's OK! as long as I can see my new grandson and turn on to the OLF...I'm happy.

Be thankful for what you have and don't fret over what you don't have!

Hi Walter,

Can you say more about your eyesight? My mom was losing her eyesight from macular degeneration, but she found a great surgeon who fixed one retina. At that time, several years ago, doctors were just discovering the ability for retinal cells to regenerate. If this applies to your case, I'd be glad to give you more information.

Wishing you the best.

I'm so sorry about this.
Take care.

Walter, What a great attitude.  I don't know if I could be as you are in this.  I'm praying for you!

Wow, Walter, really hate to hear that. I'm getting a cataract in my left eye and it is a real bummer, but at least, it appears that something can be done about it. Man I feel for you.

You young bucks out there really need to NOT take your health for granted and take care of yourselves. All that you do for yourself today will pay off down the road. It's the best thing you can physically do for yourself and your family.

Hang in there, Walter, you're in my prayers.

Ron

Walter, if there is a bright side to this, I understand that losing or having dimished capacity in one sense often causes other senses sharpen. If your hearing improves as a result, surround yourself with wonderful stringed instruments. You'll really be able to hear the difference between a great instrument and a work of art.

Thanks for your support and prayers. It has been a tough time in the last 3 years concerning my failing health.
I have had to deal with all kinds of problems. Now this.
It seems that due to my diabetes my retina is starting to detach from the back of the eye.

Boy, are my guitars going to look funny now.
Thanks for your best wishes!!
