Well here is a totally different use for Lutz/Cocobolo
I took some scraps of Cocobolo and Lutz spruce, made a block and then sliced it and carved it on a lathe. The finish is Med Thickness CA buffed to 12000 micromesh. In real life it is like glass

I makes a very different looking pen. I had it at work and I am swamped with requests for pens for people to give as Christmas presents
