Don,

Thanks but I can't afford another $10...just kidding...actually, cooler heads prevail I'll pass...but only because I really don't/can't justify buying another set anyway. I'll never live long enough to build what I have now...I just can't help myself...

Well at least your thread got two bumps from this. Good luck with the rest of the sale. You really have beautiful wood at great prices...

Dave

Hey Dave, no problem. I don't mind losing a little on the sets to liquidate, but losing my shirt along with them, well, it's getting cold up here in the northeast!

Go Red Sox.....

Hey I know the feeling...Your prices are GREAT! Like I said it was an impulse that I need to control. Not your price...

I wish you all the best and hope you sell all that beautiful zoot you have listed...I could buy it all...but then i would need a new place to live as my wife would kick me out for sure

Thanks,

Be Well,

Dave

Don,
I'm going to offer you $75 for Quilt Bubinga QB-2. Even though I realize that you can't do. I'd go $100 if i wasn't flat broke . But it doesn't hurt to ask........ even if it doesn't help . Beautiful wood Don. Thanks for sharing them with us -----Snick

Snick,

I need to hold the price on the Bubinga. At $125, I'm already below my cost. The wood biz isn't as easy as folks may think...

Steve,

I'll consider that...but I'll have to get a shipping estimate to know if I can swing that. Where are you located? - just give me your zip code. Can this be shipped to a business address rather than a residential address?

Don,
I believe it. That set is definitely worth $125. I was drooling all over it when I went by your website. I hope you still have it when I get some more cash. Thanks again-----Snick

Snick, if you want to reserve it, I can hold it until you do. That's not a problem.

Don,
I think that it my take me a month to recover (maybe sooner). If you were comfortable with that, I'd say great. But I do understand if you can't, and no hard feelings. But I do love that set. Thanks Don-----Snic

Tell you what, I'll hold until December, will that work for you? If you need a little more time, fine.

Don,

One last item, I'd like Quilted Bubinga QB4 at $125.

Thank you all of the great deals, I know that you had already reduced prices on your GOOB and then another discount here. I appreciate it and will buy from you again.

Greg
Winding down....folks, if there's something you like, but the price doesn't suit...make an offer, I just might take it!
yeah.. there is something I want... but it doesn't appear to be on the menu.

Shall we do that dance again? Or just skip it?

Don,

I would be happy to take the Mottled African Mahogany Set MM-3 if you could handle $70.00 shipped. Just let me know.

Philip

Heh heh......

You know, I'd love to put that set up and let you two wolves fight over it, but I just can't bare to part with it. Maybe some day If I haven't turned it into a OOO I'll revisit the idea...it's just so danged gorgeous!

Dennis, I really have all the ivory I need for my lifetime, but thanks anyway for the offer.

Greg, sure thing.

SteveK, sure, why not?

Ok Ken, since Dave already haggled me to that price, I can do it.

Philip, where do you live?

Hi Don,

If necessary, just tell me "Go away, kid, yer bothering me!"

I do like that QS11 Sapele, and would like to figure out if I have something you would trade for. I'm pretty much out of cash.

Once I find some appropriate side billets to go along with the back billets of Claro Walnut I have, I will have enough Claro to last me a while - which is really the only reason I even offered that curly Claro set here at the Swap Meet. Gauging by current Swap Meet prices (if that is any real indication), I overpaid for that Claro set, but I doubt it will ever be worth less than $60.

So, I propose a trade: my curly Claro Walnut set (shown in my for sale thread), plus $20, plus a bag of M&M's for QS11. (We each pay our own shipping.)

How's that sound?

Dennis

Dennis, a year ago, I might have made that deal...but I find I have more wood sitting around than I can possibly want or use. Minus the sets that have sold here, I have 30 sets of figured sapele, around 10 of those are ridiculously killer beyond words. Stuff that LMI has up for over $500...but try finding buyers for that stuff! What am I gonna do with all that?

No, I'm not in acquisition mode, I'm in "getting cash to pay off the wood that I bought to sell" mode. But thanks for the offer anyway.

OK, I'll stop buggin' ya! Hopefully, your stash is better than money in the bank, and the value will always rise.
