Hi Bob, I'm not a pay pal user as mentioned in my starting post. Visa, MasterCard, checks, money orders work. Larry

Dear Larry,

May I please purchase your curly Makore 04?

Thank you, sir.

I showed this wood to Jeffrey Elliot at the last GAL and asked for his advice with this particular crotch rosewood. He was gracious with his time and explained that he would reverse the center seems from what I marked them (going for aesthetics) because it would require less bracing of the seam than if the crotch end grain was at the seam. He mentioned that either orientation would work OK, but he preferred one over the other.

Solid wood inside the outlines, no bug holes, checks or cracks, stems or seeds that you don't need.

Brazilian orphan back set 01 SOLD SOLD SOLD
crotch figure (old growth)
20 x 22.5"
$200.00
SOLD SOLD to Matt Jacobs

Brazilian orphan back set 02 SOLD SOLD SOLD
crotch figure (old growth)

$200.00
SOLD SOLD to Dave Galas

Oh my! Oh golly! It appears that my mate Kim and his upside down keyboard have beaten me to the punch, as it were. I do believe that curly Makore 04 has been preemptively stricken. Oh dear, dear, dear!

Translation:
bugger off ya flam'in drongo!

Yeah, I missed a couple because of Kim's high speed upside down keyboard myself.  I don't think Kim has gotten any sleep in the last week!

Dear Mr. Lawrence Davis,

Might I enquire as to whether you perchance have another set of the curly Makore similar in disposition to curly Makore set 04? If indeed you do, could you please mark it as "SOLD SOLD SOLD to Dennis Leahy"?

Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.

Sincerely,

Mr. Dennis T. Leahy, Esq.

Kim, you're a fierce competitor! What do you have, about a 10Terabit Internet connection?

When you get done with the guitar made from the curly Makore 04 set, please Xerox a full size copy of the guitar, and send it to me so I can glue it onto one of mine.

Dennis

Keyaki is a member of the elm family and is species Zelkova serrata. I got this wood years ago from my veneer mill contacts and solid form is hard to come by. It grows in China, Japan and North Korea whre it's use is restricted mostly to temple use.

Works and bends nicely. The medullary rays are tiny and thick on this dead QS stuff and is sometimes referred to as "birdseye", although it is not true birdseye of course. They really pop under finish.

Try it...you'll like it and I can cut a lot of it

Keyaki set 03 SOLD SOLD SOLD
back 17x21.5; sides 5 x 33"
$65.00
SOLD SOLD to Tom Dowey

Keyaki set 02 SOLD SOLD SOLD
$65.00
SOLD to Greg Heather
