One of my customers called me and wanted to see if I could find a hardshell case for his recently acquired instruments.

This thing is a mandolin/banjo. it has an 11" body diameter, overall length is 27" and the height at the bridge is 4"

I've done some searches on my usual case suppliers only to come up empty handed. Anybody got a clue where I can find one of these?

He is currently using a gig bag type case for it now but wants the extra protection for traveling.

Yep, a pillow case or a toe-sack is the norm.

I wouldn't have a clue.

Elderly sells a banjo-mandolin, I think, so they might have cases.

How timely this is. I just finished up a website for Edward V. Dick, the guy who originally coined the phrase "Banjola" back in 1996. He gave me one of these instruments as a trade for the website. Mine is the 6-string model. I found a case on ebay for mine, but he also just uses a thick padded gig bag, but recently one of his customers was asking for a hardshell case. You might want to contact him directly on where he gets his cases. You can see the website HERE
Go check out the video of him playing it at the HGF a couple of weeks ago!

Thanks for the leads! I'll check them out and see where it leads me.
