Nuts and saddles that is. Got any good ones? I find myself needing a larger than what I have size (nut). Looking at LMI they have it but want $8.00 just for shipping. Even if I order 5 or 6... $8.00???

Ron we have a source here. Her name escapes me right now. We did a group buy on bone nuts and saddles. I know you can buy direct too. Maybe one of the guys will chime in. If I remember correctly Don Wiliams hooked us up. Real good prices too.

Try the pet store. The bleached cow bones are very cheap and you can get quite a few nuts and saddles out of each one. Not as many as it looks at first glance because bones have pores and are a funny shape. It is still a cheap source. I know some builders think that the bleached bones are weaker than the natural dried bones and that may be true. I've been happy with the quality of what I've been getting, however. Sawing bones on the band saw smells pretty bad but I wear a cartridge resperator while sawing and the smell goes away in a few hours.

Mike at Christies prices it's really not worth the trouble or the smell. She offers both bleached and unbleached.

i have had very good results with the unbleached bone from euphonon.

the consistency is excellent, colour the rich cream of ivory, very generously sized, and the prices are quite good, about half the big boys, with no minimums, though there is a price break for 1 doz. lots. he also carries bleached bone at about half the price of unbleached.

very good people to deal with, but old fashioned, i.e. no etail, no cards. well worth a look., or should i say call. tel 1-888-517-4678.
