Hi guys, my 2003 style 0 has a real ski jump on the fb extension. Can't find information on how to reset the modern ones. I've also not really worked on any instruments I didn't build myself but seems daft to pay to get it done. Any resources/ thoughts appreciated, Thanks |

Trust me, on a dobro - you want an experienced pro. The internals of those things are not like any other stringed instrument on the planet. Here's the story of the Dopyera Brothers, okay? 2 brothers who own an auto body shop decide to go into the guitar making business after looking at a banjo. Totally not joking. |

I would contact NRP. Vintage ones (up at least ot my 1980 Duolian) have a neck stick with little mushroom shaped things between the stick and the back (take the cone out and you'll see it). The fretboard extension has two flat head screws under two marker dots, pop he dots out and you can remove the neck. I don't know if that is how they still build them or if other manufacturers do it differently. Removing the cone should tell you a lot,. |
