I took the top of a harp today which was totally distorted and coming off. approx. 38" long tapers 13" to 4". How it's made.
sitka more or less guarterd around .200 thick running the width direction and a piece of walnut veneer running the length.
the "bridge" is.250 x .750 x 37" and the "bridge plate" is about the same dimension and sitka. Somehow it seems all wrong to me but can anyone steer me in the right direction? Is there a more modern design that will stay flatter longer or some kind of bracing inside or out.

I think that’s right at least considering the grain direction.
The gal has harp plans I believe. You could use that as some sort of reference if you really think it’s wrong.
