Post subject:  Looking for a brz rosewood bridge blank… in Canada!

Hello friends,

A nice J45 from the late 59s just hit my bench, in need of a new bridge plate and bridge, as well as the expected brace reglues. But overall in very nice shape I must admit.

I'd really much prefer to put braz on it since that's what it came with and I want to preserve its value.

Not easy to find, and much less so since I'm in Canada. I'd be very grateful if someone could point me in the direction of potential sources for the stuff.

You can DM me if that's preferred.

Thanks for your help.

I recall the Mario Proulx used to have some BRW bridge blanks.
It’s worth giving him a shout to see.

Sadly, Mario's health is not that great at the moment and I don't want to disturb him.

Thanks to all, I've found a very nice colleague here up North that's willing to share some of his stash! You've been very helpful, as usual.

And special thanks to Hesh for accepting to bounce ideas around with me about the work needed on the instrument itself. That's what I miss the most from my previous life, having buddies around to share thoughts and experience. But you are are a great bunch of people to be around for sure.
