Post subject:  Richlite Fingerboard Extension

I'm resetting a neck on a Martin GPCPA4, with the latest "sliding dovetail" design and a richlite fingerboard.

I'm wondering what other folks are using to glue the fingerboard extension to the top?

Experimenting with chunks of the original glue, it slightly softens when immersed in waster but I wouldn't call it soluble like titebond.

I would expect that the richlite board is fixed to the neck with epoxy, but expect something more serviceable on the extension... it did separate relatively easy.

Thanks.

Titebond original is what you want. Sticks Richlite (hate that stuff) but releases easy w/ heat down the road.

Thanks David... I did some test samples on the back of the extension using titebond and fish glue and the results agree with your recommendation.
