Hi, A newbie on here, looks like a good forum to be?? Im about to restore a Fender Tele Bass (1970), I have to remove the thick brush applied enamel paint first and then `repair` the area that had been routed and filled before.I can see clearly the witness line wher the repair has sunk. Any ideas how to prevent is sinking again after Ive filled it please? ![]() |

I like to fill repairs with wood not filler, then you don't have to worry about fill shrinking. But also depends on what you're trying to repair. Posting photos will help us. |

As I said. Its on the body where a pick hole has been filled. Its sunk slightly and you can see the outline of the repair? I was thinking maybe to fill the joint line with super glue. Ps how do you send pics? |

Quote: Ps how do you send pics? It has been awhile since I did that but try "Upload Attachment" in the box below the text screen. You may have to resize your photos to get under the size limit. The "Paint" program works good in Windows for that task. |

Hmmm....bet there is bondo lurking under that. I hate bondo, do not use bondo. I usually fill any small voids, low areas etc. after installing a wood plug with epoxy. |
