I am restoring a L&H Style A guitar for myself. Does anyone know of a source for gears like this, or have a set they are willing to part with? In gold or nickel, any color buttons. Thanks.
Regards,
GS

I would call up old crusty local luthiers as well as Vintage Parlor Guitars and Antebellum Instruments and see if they have anything. Many of those guys have boxes full of old tuners stashed all over their shops.

Barring that - Stew Mac restoration tuners are fantastic. They usually fit these old guitars very nicely and have the right look.

We get requests for these frequently and there are none to be found.

+1 for the SM golden age tuners, excellent value, function, looks AND they are available.

I checked out StewMac, they have some nice ones, but nothing with the points on the ends. I am a slow worker (an amateur's luxury), and this one needs a bit of work, so I'll keep my eyes peeled and when everything else is done, I haven't found any I'll bite the bullet and go with some blinged Golden Age. Thanks.
