Please only post pictures of YOUR work and tell us a little bit about it.

Please do not LINK to your pictures, UPLOAD THEM to the OLF so they will always be here.

Please do not post any follow up comments in this forum.
Please DO NOT start a new thread. Instead contact me and I will start one for you
if your instrument does not fit in to any of the existing categories.

Any comments will be deleted in an effort to keep the gallery clean and easy to use.

Thanks for this Lance.
I am sure the work and trouble yo have gone to will be appreciated by all!

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Great idea. I would like to see a thread for bouzoukis, citterns, and the like.

Nice! Thanks Lance. Unfortunately it looks like I'll have plenty to occupy myself with instead of getting work done. . .

Lance,

I assume flamencos would go in the Classical Guitar thread. Right?

Thanks,
Max

Hi. I read this, but still somehow started my own thread. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and trouble this will cause you. I tried to delete and move it, but could not.
