The Rossette done,... bliss
I design this rossette for simple because of the small guitar,.. I use material: teak wood and the circle line rosewood
And I matching the line with the pickguard from rambutan wood veneer (.06) I love this wood :lol:
This rosette I think not very clean work, the router bit is not very sharp... idunno

Carving?? That's a pretty thick back! Can't say I've seen this sort of approach on an acoustics before. What is the thinking behind it?

behind this I feel so much to build an Archtop, and this little guitar I want to make a more bass louder (just my opinion), and I try to make the Back a little arch model like archtop (it's 0.6"= 1.5cm) but what you think about that?
I said my little guitar is ARCHBACK wow7-eyes (NOT ARCHTOP) :lol:

I have no idea how this will effect the tone of the guitar. I do like strange new ideas though. I'm super excited to see how this turns out for you. How thick will the back be? I'm guessing you will have it pretty thin? Anyhow it will be very unique, which is always good IMO.

Robert Benedetto carved Back plate for 3/16" in the middle plate for an Archtop, and the Plan of this guitar approx. .13" arch (3.3mm) so I'll try thinner about .12" (3mm) or .11" (2.79mm) beehive for making bigger bass oops_sign

Gibson made at least a couple models of flat top guitar with an arched back. The Gibson Gospel comes to mind. It was very good sounding. A friend of mine had one. Guild also made at least one model with an arched back.

Not sure you'll get more bass, but an arched back seems to add a slight reverberant quality to the sound. Bass will depend more on how lightly built the top is.

HI,... i'm back,... bliss
Thank's God for Your time for me to continue my guitar building, and thank's to friend's and OLF senior's for your suggestions... :D

This is Back part, at the beginning I've confused for carving this part, three times that glue joint was loose gaah , I use electric sander, that hot friction the cause,.. so I remember that carving must use hand scrapping and I succeed with this metode pizza , I'm happy although not yet finished :D :D

The soundboard almost ready just for chiseling, so the Back board, but I need your suggest: for the Arch Back is that need wood bracing?, I ever read that arch back no need bracing,... and I feel that's very solid .
Now I'm preparing wood for kerfed linings, and the Side is ready for bending... bliss

Love the bamboo go-bars :) Looks like a nice brace pattern too. Be sure and cap that X, though!

As for the back, it shouldn't need any bracing. Violin family instruments don't have any, and they have a soundpost pressing on it. So a guitar should definitely be fine.

Hope you finish on time for the competition! But if not, it'll still be a sweet guitar. Those first few notes are a the real prize, after all :D
