Hello! i'm working on several guitars at once so i figured i'll just make a build thread where i upload pictures and info on the stuff i am currently doing. So, currently i'm working on a 000, Sitka/Maple, koa binding, brazilian fretboard and bridge. This is #3. closeup, not scraped flush just yet. the body Neck and BRW fingerboard Volute, dart or whatever Another one of the BRW fretboard bound in koa Oooooops! all the whiteness went away nice figure. Looking just a little more rough than i like, but the customer really likes it and he is the one who is going to play it Here is the mahogany guitar. I suspect it's actually sapele but the guy i got it from says it's mahogany. Whatever, it is fine wood. i don't have a lot of pictures but you can see were it's going right?? This is #4 Picea abies bracing from Sweden, the house it´s from is built around 1750. i got lot's and lot's of this really nice bracewood. First i split the logs by hand, then i use the table saw and bandsaw. Really really nice tonewood!! |
