I had a friend give me a nice cigar box found at an estate sale and I build a soprano uke with it using some parts I had and some bought from Mike H, owner of Mainland Ukukele. Really nice guy. When I strung 'er up and played I noticed some forward lean at the saddle. And some other problems. Tie bridge coming loose. So I made some narrow braces from left over spruce and glued then to bottom of soundboard, and I made a bridge patch and added two brass screws into tie bridge. Seems pretty tight. Used hhg from John Hall and like it. Easy clean up. Its a gift for a friend. Ed Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk |

Looks good. Would a Hana-Llma style tie through bridge have worked better for your bridge problem. Bob |

The top distorted noticeably before the bridge came loose so fixing both problems was my goal and it worked. I will check with my friend to see if it has held up. Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk |

So far the repairs I made are working very well. My friend loves her new uke. Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk |
