How thick should sides be for a ukulele. I am building it with white oak. right now i have it down to .017 of a inch. still feels to stiff. |

about a 1/16th. or .065. |

Depends on type of wood and how easy to bend. W.oak at.o75 and.o 005 for scraping an sanding Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk |

I haven't tried bending oak. But I usually bend my sides at 0.075". For a soprano size I'd go down to 0.065" in the waist area |
