My Latest effort is the Pear Blossom. The back sides and neck are all local cherry . The top is engleman spruce .

I would like some one to make a peral inlay on cocobolo for my head plate the says " pear blossom" in a horiz. between the tuners .

Hope you like the pics.

James. Your avatar is rude, crude, offensive, the works. Do you honestly think that that has a place here on the forum?

Cause I literally laughed out loud. That's good! I hope that's at your house!

I have spent this weekend trying to decide on a pickguard design for the pearblossom build . After much thought and several beers , this is what I landed on . Its Cherry wood like the rest of the unit . I tried to capture the idea of the build design . Didi I succeed ?

I am having trouble visualizing that pickguard on a mando playing 'Soldiers Joy'. You're going to have to put that on the mando and shoot another picture.

Worked on the PearBlossom Headstock Last Night and after I had it all assembled I found on the left side "looking at it" a micro crack in what appears to be the Laq only . There is no decernable cracks in the headstock that I can find . Have you ever seen Laq . crack like that?
