I have 1924 Gibson A Model, but it has grover replacement tuners. Does any one have a source for original tuners? I believe this had square plate tuners. Here is a picture of the current tuners Attachment: DSCN0226.JPG Thanks |

I was looking for original tuners, but the vintage mandolin parts market isn't very big. From what I can tell there were 3 types of tuners used on A models. The stewmac tuners are the arrowheads, and would probable be found on a higher end model, like an A4. It looks like there aren't many options for replacments so the stewmacs may have to do. |

EBay or the vintage dealers may be your only resort if you want originals. I have seen like items come up from time to time. I guess it depends on your timeframe. |
