Post subject: | Flexing Redwood Top |
I have 7 sets of redwood tops . I am working with my first experimenting because I have never used redwood before . I want to flex it to a radius to make a arch in the top . Can redwood be arched like that without heating , wetting . or does it need heat to bend much at all . seeems kinda brittle to me |

How thick is it? How much are you going to bend and what kind of bend? If it's thin like a guitar top, it should bend OK. You could wet the outside and it would probably bend itself. |

its about .110 thick and its being bent about 1/4" in 8" I "think it will flex that much. Is Redwood always this brittle ? my humidity is 40% most of the time |
