Hi, Is there any reason not to use a guitar sized heat blanket and fox style bender for bending Uke sides and bindings? I’ve made a couple of guitars and have the bender, slats and blankets. Seems like it would work fine as long as I build the mold the fit. Thanks for any insight.

It could work, but the challenge might be the overall length of the mold may not extend out past the walls of your guitar bender. I purchased the uke sized bender from blues creek, it works well. The walls of the bender are smaller so the mold sticks out each end.

That's what I've done. The mold needs to be taller, not only to clear the bouts but also because since it's on rails, you need to have room for the blanket to bend and come out.
