Some very sad news indeed as Peter Ostroushko (Mando Boys, Powdermilk Biscuit Band on Garrison Keelor's Prairie Home Companion) and "on call" fiddler and mandolin player for many albums and dics seems to have suffered a heart attack and stroke. He is recovering, but his left hand and arm are not functioning well. Therapy is helping some, but it is unknown at this time whether he will play again.
I can't imagine worse news for the Mpls music scene since Dave Ray's passing or Bill Hinkley...
Peter was a wonderful musicologist. Locally, we all hope the very best for him and our prayers go out for a recovery that might enable him to play some again.
