Just wondering if anybody has any advice on building a seven string. if there are any tips or things to watch out for that are different than a six string build? Like if I have to use a different trust rod or possibly a slightly longer neck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Multi-scale is super useful on extended range guitars. The longer the scale and thinner gage your 7th string has the better chance it has of sounding bright enough to blend with the rest of the strings. Otherwise it’s hard to avoid the 7th string sounding very dull and thumping like an upright bass. |

I have a dingwall and I had an ormsby 7 string, that unfortunately I had to sell, but i always felt the ormsby had a smoother low end then any other 7 string i played Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
